The Elmira Corning Chapter of IAAP has a very long history when you consider it was formed by merging the 50 year old Glider City Chapter with the Corning Chapter. The Corning Chapter had, at one time, belonged to the Glider City Chapter but formed a new chapter when there were enough members to have a separate chapter. When membership dipped in both chapters in the late 1990’s it was decided to merge the two chapters.
We are located in the Southern Tier of New York and have approximately 27 members.
Even though we are a small chapter we have one member who is a NYS Division Officer and one member who is an International Committee member. We also send a delegate to the Annual Division Meeting and to the International Meeting.
